Terms & Conditions

Open to citizens or legal residents of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, or South Sudan, aged 18–35 as of 15 August 2026. Employees, contractors, and immediate family of Jitume Omoka and its judging panel are not eligible. One entry per person.

Entries open 15 August 2026 and close 30 October 2026 at 23:59 EAT. Entries submitted after this deadline will not be accepted or judged.

Submit a short video (30 seconds to 2 minutes, MP4/MOV/WebM, maximum 250MB) answering two questions: your entrepreneurial dream, and the skills you need to make it real. Verify your entry with the one-time code sent to your email. Entry is free.

You are responsible for entering your name, email, country, mobile money provider, and mobile money number correctly before you submit your entry. Once submitted, an entry cannot be edited or resubmitted under the same email address, including the mobile money details used for payout. Please check your mobile money number carefully before submitting, this is not something our support team can correct after the fact.

• Your video must be original and filmed by you
• No hate speech, harassment, or unlawful content
• No content that infringes someone else’s rights
• Speak Swahili, English, or a mix

Jitume Omoka may disqualify any entry that violates these rules or appears fraudulent, at its sole discretion.

Entries are scored by a judging panel against clarity, authenticity, learning insight, and quality (see How it works for the full breakdown). Judges’ decisions are final.

The top 10 ranked entries share a KES 113,500 prize pool (1st: KES 25,000 down to 10th: KES 5,000), paid to the mobile money account (M-PESA, MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, or another supported provider) provided at entry (see “Entry details are final” above). Payouts are initiated by 20 November 2026. All 10 placed winners also receive a free 6-month Pro subscription to Jitume Omoka when the platform launches.

By entering, you grant Jitume Omoka a non-exclusive license to use your video and name for promotion of the competition and, if you place in the top 10, to publicly announce your entry on the Jitume Omoka platform and social channels.

Jitume Omoka may amend these terms or, in extraordinary circumstances, cancel or postpone the competition. Material changes will be posted on this page.
